The Old Photo Album

I have an old photo album that came from my Grandmother's house.  I have no idea who these people are.  I have very little clues, and hope that maybe by putting them out on the web that maybe someone can help me identify them.  I might have the only copy of these.  Who knows?

Some of my family lines that these photos could belong to are Shepherd, Rogers, Rodgers, Beck, Bunn etc.  They were early settlers of the Bear Lake Idaho area.
This is not a typical blog, it starts at the top and goes down.

The Handsome young man and the Album

The young man is leaning on a photo album.  At first I thought it was the photo album I have, but as I enlarged the photo and looked better I could see that it is simular, but not the same album.  I think he looks a lot like one of the Shepherd boys in the following collage.  And could be a cousin to Henry Nathaniel Rogers...in the following photo.

Henry Nathaniel Rogers

I found this picture on ancestry.com and Henry would be a brother to my Great Grandmother.  It is the same setting as the Handsome young man, and the Shepherds and Rogers were married.  Yes, actually while doing my genealogy I found that a brother and sister - married a sister and brother - who happen to be on my husband’s line.

William Nathaniel Budge Shepherd

This collage was found on ancestry dot com and I use it as a reference point in several of the other pictures.

A distinguished Lady

Darling Children

These picture has WNB Shepherd on it.  The babies looks very similar to the WNB Shepherd family collage pictures, and from what I can tell is that he had a girl after that collage was made.

Sitting Man

The only clue on this picture is a water mark at the bottom, that reads Rives # 74 Perhaps the photographers name?

Two women

I just figured out that the woman on the right is Alice Ann Margetts Rich (1851-1891)
here is a picture of her family posted on Ancestry dot com listed as Franklin & (Alice) Ann Margetts Rich, with children:  Eliza May, Harriet and Henry

A women

This women photo has WNB Shepherd Photos stamped on the back.

A Baby

Standing Women

This women's photo  has WNB Shepherd stamped on the back of her picture also

A Simular Photo

This picture has David Lewis Photo – Logan City Utah stamped on the back.  This looks very similar to the following  picture I found on ancestry dot com of a Henry Robert Shepherd, either at a different time, or maybe a sibling?

Henry Robert Shepherd Missionary Photo

I found this photo on Ancestry dot com

Baby

This looks a lot like the WNB Shepherd kids pictures to me, and I think they had a baby girl.

Two Boys

These two boys, I’m not sure if it is the same boy different years, or two boys possibly siblings, they are using the same photo prop.  I think they look a lot like the WNB Shepherd family boys.

CR Savage

This photo was taken at CR Savage, a very famous photographer in SLC, but the one thing interesting is when I was reading the History of the Bear Lake Pioneers, in William and Mary Ann Tracey Shepherd it said they were very good friends with CR Savage.

The Family Pose

This family picture has me really puzzled.  I cannot find a family that has this combination of siblings.  I’m not sure if maybe it might be a combined family.  I can’t tell if any of them are parents, I think they all look like children.

A women and some babies

This woman, and these two baby picture all have Rinehart Photo Studio, Montpelier stamped on them,  the later looks like a different era on the style of picture.

Identified as Mathias Andreas Ingedor Ipsen From England to Denmark

Thanks Steve!

Mathias Andreas Ingedor Ipsen   born 26 feb 1855 Svaneke   chr 22 apr 1855 Svaneke
s/o Hans Ipsen and Johanne Catrine Hermansdatter
Johanna Catrine/Catherine Hermansdatter/Beck is the sister of Anders Beck my grandmothers's grandfather.
he died 15 March 1855 in Alameda California.  He was listed as a Master Mariner

This picture has a lot of writing on the back.  I’ve added that image for you to look at, I can make out that it was taken Woodrow’s Dock & Railway Photographic Studio, which I think is in England, but then it has some information about Svaneke Bornhom Denmark, so I’m wondering if anybody went on a mission to Denmark, or something like that.  There are also some dates, but I haven’t been able to put two and two together on this one.  Also, it almost looks like written Mathias Andrews or something like that, but I can’t find that name in the family line anywhere.

A charming baby

A Young Lad

This photo has N. Howarth, SLC stamped on it, the prop is the same as the lower left  in the NWB Shepherd collage.
